I am the Grass

Anything on Earth can be humble and small, yet important to all, like the simple grasses that are common in so many parts of the world. Grass can be made into houses or eaten for lunch; trampled on or woven into objects of beauty or utility. Though this sweet look at humble grass is written for young readers, its wisdom is appealing to all ages. We recognize the importance of humble things like grass, and we remember that when elephants fight, the grass gets trampled. Illustrated by the students of Findley school, including the grandchildren of the author.
