Sometimes I Feel Scared

Loud bangs, crackling fires, angry voices. Fearful things for a child, especially one who has survived a traumatic experience. But in the company of a supportive adult, safety can be found. Fireworks may be noisy, but they’re also beautiful. Fires can be scary, but also warm and productive. Angry voices can be frightening, but they can quickly turn to laughter. The world is terrifying, but also wondrous, and safety can be found when loved ones let you feel your way along.
